Your Installation Day Schedule.

July 23, 2024

Please note: This is a general schedule and may vary depending on the specific details of your installation. Your Metro HVAC technician will provide you with a more detailed and personalised schedule based on your project.  Our installation technicians will also take you through this schedule on the day to run you through what it is that will be happening on the day.

Morning:

  • 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM:(Full-Day Install) Arrival of the installation crew. They will introduce themselves, review the work to be done, and answer any questions you may have.
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Capping of Gas services(if applicable). This involves carefully disconnecting and capping off of your existing HVAC system.
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch break for the crew. (please feel free to offer the thirsty lads a cup of tea!)

Afternoon:

  • 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: System installation. This includes placing the new unit(s), connecting ductwork and electrical wiring, and setting up the system.
  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: System testing and inspection. The technicians will ensure the system is functioning properly and safely.
  • 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: System walkthrough and homeowner orientation. The technicians will explain how to operate your new system, both the wireless and installed remote, answer any final questions, and clean up the work area.

Additional Information:

  • It is important to have the area where the new unit will be installed cleared and accessible for the crew.
  • You may be asked to turn off utilities like water and gas during the installation process.
  • The technicians will wear shoe covers and drop cloths to protect your home from dirt and debris.
  • Once the installation is complete, you will receive a permit and warranty information for your new HVAC system.

We recommend being present during the installation process to ask questions and address any concerns you may have. Some Installations require multiple days, in this case, the installation of your unit may begin partially through the day to account for this.
